Educational & Coaching Gardening Sessions

These sessions are designed to introduce people of all ages to the fundamentals of gardening, soil health, and caring for living things — in a hands-on, supportive, and accessible way.

Each session focuses on curiosity and connection rather than perfection. Participants learn by touching, planting, observing, and asking questions, building confidence through practical experience.

The aim is to help people understand where plants come from, why soil matters, and how small, thoughtful actions can support the natural world.

Sessions can be tailored for:

  • Children and youth programs

  • Early learning centres and schools

  • Community groups

  • Special interest programs

  • One-on-one garden coaching and education

Whether working with children, individuals, or small groups, my approach is always gentle, encouraging, and grounded in real-world, sustainable gardening practices.

What sessions may include

  • A gentle introduction to plants, soil, and regenerative growing practices

  • Hands-on planting using seeds, seedlings, or cuttings

  • Learning about soil life, worms, and beneficial insects

  • Practical demonstrations such as propagation, repotting, or seasonal care

  • A simple on-site project (such as planting seeds, creating a small container garden, or setting up a propagation station)

  • Supportive discussion around caring for plants, nature, and sustainable habits

  • Each session is tailored to the individual, age group, and environment, with a focus on curiosity, care, and connection rather than rigid instruction.

  • Whether working with children, small groups, or in one-on-one coaching sessions, the aim is to build confidence, understanding, and a genuine love of growing.
