These are always discussed and agreed upon in advance, with options to keep things simple, low-cost, or more involved depending on your preference.

Cushion Cover Sewing

This activity involves creating a cushion cover using a sewing machine, supported step-by-step in a safe and manageable way.

The process may include selecting fabric, measuring and cutting material, learning basic pattern layout, and sewing the piece together to create a finished item.

Tasks are adapted to suit individual ability and comfort, with a focus on building confidence, learning new skills, and completing a practical project from start to finish.

The finished cushion cover provides a tangible outcome that can be used in the home, supporting independence and a sense of achievement.

This is offered as a prepared activity package, with a total materials cost of $80 (charged once) in addition to the hourly rate. This includes fabric, thread, and use of a sewing machine and basic tools. This activity generally runs over two or three sessions.

Clay Sessions

This activity can be accessed as a one-off experience (over 2 sessions) or as part of ongoing support

Clay activities are offered as a prepared activity package, with a total material cost of $80 (charged once), in addition to the hourly rate.

This includes all materials required for a complete, finished piece — quality clay for a large piece, tools, imprinting materials (such as fabrics or stencils), sandpaper, and staining and sealing finishes.

Clay work is completed over two sessions to allow time for the piece to properly dry before finishing.

Botanical Boxes and Pressed Work

Available as a standalone activity (over 2 sessions) or incorporated into ongoing support.

Botanical activities are offered as a prepared activity package, with a total material cost of $80 (charged once), in addition to the hourly rate.

This includes all materials required to create a complete, finished piece, such as a botanical box or similar item.

Flowers are selected, prepared, and pressed over time, then used in later sessions once ready.

All details are discussed and agreed upon in advance.

The setup can be tailored to suit the space and preference, including planting in-ground, using simple pots, or a raised planter where appropriate.

The process may include selecting a small number of stems, preparing and trimming materials, and placing each element with intention to create a simple and balanced design.

A kenzan (floral pin holder) may be used to support the arrangement, along with a suitable bowl or container where required.

Can be completed as a one off project over multiple sessions, there is no obligation for ongoing support if chosen

This activity involves working together to build a simple raised garden bed using basic materials and hand tools, supported step-by-step in a safe and manageable way.

The process may include preparing materials such as sanding timber, measuring and positioning components, and assembling the structure gradually over the session.

Tasks are adapted to suit individual ability and comfort, with a focus on building confidence, learning new skills, and completing a practical project from start to finish.

This supports problem solving, task sequencing, coordination, and confidence through active participation in a structured task.

Once completed, the raised bed can be used for planting herbs, vegetables, or flowers in future sessions, supporting routine, independence, and ongoing engagement.

This includes all standard materials required for a basic raised garden bed, preparation materials such as sanding supplies, and use of appropriate hand tools. This activity can take up to 4 sessions depending on participant. To complete a small planter the cost if $80 (charged once, in addition to the hourly rate and this can be completed over two sessions.
